In February, Gary Beeler from the NWS office in Mobile, conducted a Weather Spotter class at Andalusia Public Library. It was well attended.

The club had a yard sale April 10th, but it was a slow day as we added $16.75 toward the repeater operation.
Field Day was a great day again this year, as SARC members gathered at the Connecuh National Forest near Wing, Alabama for Field Day. Despite the nearly 4 inches of rainfall the Day of Field Day, everyone had a great time.
At the September club meeting, members elected Bart as Club call sign trustee. A 100HZ tone was added to the repeater and helped to solve most of the interference problems with the repeater. The 800 mhz Southern Link, DTN, All commercial radios, (2) VHF Amateur Radios (Kenwood 2550 and Icom 2000) at the EOC were damaged by lightening and had to be replaced.
In October, Bart (WA8YPX) and John (KE4HIE ) participated in the SET at the EOC. Bart passed traffic on 3965 and John passed traffic on 2-meters. The test provided a good test of emergency communications between Clanton, AL and the Covington County EOC office.
The Christmas Party and annual election meeting was held Dec. 16th at Crystal River Seafood in Dothan, AL. All in attendance had a great time.
